Unfortunately, tonight’s matchup between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat has been postponed due to COVID-19.

As previously reported Robert Williams III, Tristan Thompson, and Grant Williams were all out for Friday night’s game against Washington. Then on Saturday, it was reported that Jayson Tatum tested positive for COVID-19 and could miss a maximum of 2 weeks.

If the Celtics were to have played this game they would have only had 8 active players. This includes Daniel Theis, Tacko Fall, and six guards. If there is one positive to this situation is the extra rest that the Celtics will get. Hopefully, the three big men could be back sooner than later. It’s unexpected that Jayson Tatum will be back this week as both of his tests came back positive. The next scheduled game for the Celtics is on the 12th of January against the Chicago Bulls.
