The NBA announced today that Tuesday’s matchup between the Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics would be postponed. This does not come as a surprise, as last night the Celtics had their game against the Heat postponed. This’ll be Boston’s second consecutive postponed game.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Celtics would not have enough players to play. A new date for this game has not been announced either.
“The NBA and NBPA will be meeting today about modifying the league’s Health and Safety Protocols,” the NBA said in a release.
Robert Williams and Jayson Tatum both tested positive for COVID-19 this past week, and Jaylen Brown, Semi Ojeleye, Grant Williams, Tristan Thompson, and Javonte Green are all being sidelined because of contact tracing. Also, Kemba Walker and Romeo Langford remain held out with injuries.
We will see if Wednesday’s game is postponed against the Magic, but as of now it’s still on.
