The Boston Celtics star forward, Jayson Tatum, has been named East Player of the Week. The team has been to an overall great start to the season, with a 7-3 record. Tatum has been one of the main focal points on the team, with Jaylen Brown.

This week, the Celtics won all four of their games from Sunday, January 3rd, to Sunday, January 10th. In the four games, Tatum averaged 30.3 points per game, 4.5 total rebounds, and 5 assists. While also shooting 51.5% from the three-point line, 50.6% from the field, and 100% from the free-throw line. Tatum is a superstar player in the making, once Kemba Walker comes fully back from injury the Celtics will be a major threat in the East. The Celtics schedule is being pushed back because of the recent COVID-19 protocols, but once the team is all healthy, they will be able to continue the roll.
Jayson Tatum and the Celtics are sitting at the four seed in the East, even without Kemba. As the weeks continue, Celtics teams tend to get better each week, so this is only the beginning for this team. Overall, both Tatum and Brown are on their way to becoming young superstars in the NBA.
