The Red Sox have reportedly reached an agreement with one of the top ranked International Prospects Miguel Bleis. The deal is said to be worth $1.5M, which is the bonus.
Miguel Bleis is an OF from the Dominican Republic, and the 16 year old is considered a top prospect in this years class. He is ranked 21st out of all International Prospects on MLB.com, and is said to be one of the biggest and strongest players out of this years class.
Bleis stands at 6’3, 175. Miguel is a very versatile player, and has a solid glove while very balanced at the plate. Here is what MLB.com has to say about his bat:
“At the plate, Bleis already exhibits average raw power and it’s expected to improve to a plus tool as he continues to develop. He also shows a short and compact swing with tons of bat speed.”
Miguel is said to have great instincts in center, and has tons of arm potential. He is also very quick on the base paths, and has potential to be an amazing runner. Miguel trains at the Mejia Top 10 Baseball Academy, with Luis Pereira.
The Red Sox are also expected to sign SS Luis Ravelo, and C Enderso Liva.
