Bruins 2/8 Injury Report | Grzelcyk, Studnicka, McAvoy, and DeBrusk Prepare to Return

The Bruins are in the middle of a 5 day hiatus, due to the Buffalo Sabres COVID-19 outbreak. They’re coming off of a 2-1 win over the Flyers, and are on a 3 game win streak. The next game for the Bruins will take place on Wednesday, when they visit the New York Rangers. In addition, their game against the Devils on February 15th has been postponed due to COVID.

Matt Grzelcyk – Probable (Lower Body)

After being sidelined for the last four games, Grzelcyk is back on the ice. He practiced today, and should be good to go for the Rangers game midweek. The Bruins are expecting him to be ready.

Jake DeBrusk – Probable (Lower Body)

DeBrusk has now missed five straight, also with a lower body injury. DeBrusk said today that he “feels 100%”, and he should also be ready to go for the faceoff with the Rangers, as the Bruins expect him to be ready as well.

Charlie McAvoy – Questionable (Tooth)

During a 3v3 drill at the end of practice, McAvoy collided with Trent Frederic. McAvoy skated off the ice in some discomfort, and had also chipped his tooth. An update tomorrow will be the teller on if McAvoy will be available on Wednesday.

Jack Studnicka – Questionable

Studnicka is questionable for Wednesday. He returned to practice today, wearing a red non-contact injury. While this isn’t a good sign for being available against the Rangers, he is on track to return soon.
