David Bailey Jr is said to be entering The Transfer Portal for his senior season.
Boston College’s leading rusher in the 2020 season is deciding to enter the Transfer portal. With this said it is most likely but not definite that he will not be wearing a Boston College jersey in the upcoming season.
Last season for David Bailey he shared carries with Travis Levy and had the stats of 127 attempts for 526 rushing yards with 7 touchdowns. Next season the load will be on Travis Levy which he had a respectable season for himself last year also for 99 attempts for 355 rushing yards. It is speculated that Bailey is wanting to transfer so he does not have to share carries, so he could be the lead back and have a breakout season to boost his draft stock. Instead of sharing carries with Levy at Boston College in the 2021 season.
The overall Career at Boston College Bailey had 28 games played, 332 rushing attempts, 1,600 rushing yards, and 16 rushing touchdowns. Bailey has not been the sole lead back in his career at BC, previously playing behind now Green Bay Packers RB AJ Dillon.
With Bailey possibly transferring out of the program, look for BC to try to add a running back possibly from the transfer portal. Some names to look out for could be Mark-Anthony Richards entering the portal from Auburn, Deondrick Glass transferring from Oklahoma St, Tirek Murphy transferring from Purdue or Bradrick Shaw entering the portal from Cal.
We wish the best of luck for David Bailey Jr. Once an Eagle always an Eagle.
