At 7pm tonight the Boston Celtics will take the court to play the Denver Nuggets. After dropping 4 of their last 5 games, Boston will hope for a much needed victory at home. While the Nuggets look to continue their win streak and climb up the rankings in the west.
Kemba Walker
With recent trade rumors buzzing around him, Walker is trying to prove his worth to the Celtics.
Since his return to the court, Boston has gone 3 and 7, however they haven’t fallen far in the standings. Boston still sits in the fourth seed and can make some huge progress in the weeks leading up to the All-star break.
Kemba has repeatedly made it clear that the Celtics aren’t in the right mental state. Kemba has also said that the Celtics need to play harder. There’s no better time to do that than right now as they play the short handed Nuggets.
All Kemba Walker really needs is a good game where he scores 30 and it translates to a Celtics win. This whole Boston team just needs a boost of confidence and a team approach as they play this Denver Nuggets team.
Nikola Jokic
For the Nuggets, all they need is to continue to surround the Joker with talent and keep on rolling. Jokic is having another great season as shown by his stats. Jokic is fifth in the league in rebounds and assists. He is also averaging 26.5 ppg which is among the leagues elite.
Its safe to say the Joker is on a trajectory to be the best center this year in the NBA. The goal, however will be much larger than that as the Nuggets aim to get far in the playoffs again. If Jokic continues this great run, who knows what’s in store for Denver in the playoffs.
Predictions
For this game, the Nuggets will fall short to the Celtics. Shorthanded due to injuries, the Nuggets will struggle to support their starting lineup and they will fall. This should be a come back to life game for Boston as they look to end their struggles.
Celtics win 107-98.
