The Boston Celtics were victorious against the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night. by a final score of 112-99. This game was tightly contested for almost the entire duration. But a late surge in the fourth quarter propelled the Celtics to victory.
Celtics:
For the Celtics they came out ready to play after falling to the two worst teams in the league. Boston came out with fire and energy on both ends of the floor. they executed with great ball movement and team defense. They knew that ball movement would be the key to victory they had 30 assists as a team tonight. The Celtics shot the basketball much better than the previous two games they shot 48% from the field and 35% from beyond the arch.
The Celtics had just three guys score in double figures. Leading the way for them was Jaylen Brown with 27 points on 11-20 shooting adding 5 rebounds and 5 assist. Also Jayson Tatum chipped in with 21 points on 6-18 shooting. While Kemba Walker added 17 points. This game should be a momentum swing after losing two straight games. Boston improves to 14-13 on the season.
Nuggets:
As for the Nuggets they were in this game for most of the Duration. But down the stretch it was there inability to hit shots. The Nuggets shot 45% from the field and just 26% from the arch. The Nuggets had three players score double figures. Leading the Nuggets was Nikola Jokic with a fantastic performance adding 43 points on 16-23 shooting and 8 assist. Also Facundo Campazzo added 15 points on 5-12 shooting.
Also Jamal Murray had 25 points on 9-16 shooting. The nuggets were in this game until the fourth quarter. Unfortunately Just couldn’t hit shots when it mattered. Despite a incredible performance form Nikola Jokic his support cast couldn’t get it done they fall to 15-12 on the season.
