The Boston Celtics Fell to the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night by a final score of 122-114. This game was tightly contested for the entire duration. Then a late surge by Trae young and The Hawks propelled them to victory.
Celtics:
For the Celtics they did not carry over the energy and effort that they did in the previous game against The Denver Nuggets. They also played very poor defense which translated to them losing tonight. Also for the Boston offense was not a problem scoring a total of 122 points. As for shooting the Celtics shot 46% from the field and 32% from the arch.
Boston had four players score in double figures. Leading the way for them was Jayson Tatum with 35 points on 11-21 shooting while adding 6 rebounds and 6 assist. Also scoring for the Celtics Jaylen brown with 22 points on 6-20 shooting. Payton Pritchard added 11 points as well. Boston struggled to get stops in this one especially in the fourth quarter. The Celtics drop to a disappointing 14-14 record on the season.
Hawks:
For the Hawks they pulled out the win tonight by a well balanced attack and making timely stops when the game was on the line. The Hawks without Head coach Lloyd Pierce due to the birth of his child. So this was a very convincing win for the Hawks who have been struggling as of late. The Hawks shot the ball really well tonight shooting 57% from the field but just 33% from the arch.
The Hawks had four players score in double figures. Leading the way for the Hawks was Trae Young with 40 points on 14-20 shooting while adding 8 assist. Also scoring for the Hawks Clint Capela with 24 points on 10-13 shooting and 13 rebounds. And John Collins added 20 points on 6-9 shooting. Also Cam Reddish had 13 points on 5-8 shooting. The Hawks pulled this win out by hitting shots. and getting timely stops when they needed. The Hawks improve to 12-16 on the season.
