After a lack of rumors over the last month, one has finally sprung up for The Revolution. Per Will Forbes, the Revs are pursuing Facundo Waller. Waller is a 23 year old winger that is currently playing in Mexico. He is currently on loan at Pumas UANM from Plaza Colonia of Uruguay. The loan is set to expire on May 31st. Facundo Waller has made 105 professional appearances across the two teams.

Pumas of Liga MX of Mexico brought him in on a one year loan including a $2M option to buy. He also has a large sum of experience at the international level. Waller has appeared in five games for the U-23 Uruguay national team, and has been named captain for four of those matches. He is a creative player who looks to draw fouls and create attacking opportunities using his pace.

With the season starting in exactly two months, the roster is pretty solidified. The senior roster only has a few spots left, and it will also be interesting to see if draft pick Edward Kizza is signed. Kizza is a striker from Uganda that came out of Pittsburgh University. Both he and Waller would take an international slot if they were added to the roster.

This rumor will continue to develop over the next few days, so it’s something to watch for as the open of preseason camps edges closer.
