The Boston Celtics were victorious against the Indiana Pacers on Friday night by a final score of 118-112. This game was closely contested for most of the duration, But the Celtics secured the victory by hitting big shots and getting stops late in the fourth quarter.
Celtics:
For the Celtics this was a much needed win for a team that was struggling heading into this game. They won this game by getting stops when they needed on the defensive end. as far as the offense they were clicking on all cylinders it was lead by an outstanding performance by Kemba walker with 32 points and 10-19 shooting.
The Celtics shot the ball extremely well shooting 52% from the field and 40% from the arch. They had five guys score in double figures. Leading the way for the Celtics in scoring was Kemba Walker with 32 points and 10-19 shooting, as well as Daniel Theis with 17 points and 6-9 from the field. Also scoring for the Celtics Jaylen Brown with 15 points on 5-12 shooting. also scoring Rob Williams had 14 points on 6-8 shooting and 3 blocks and 11 rebounds. Jeff Teague added 14 points on 3-5 shooting.
This was definitely a good win for the Celtics as they head into the next three games before the All-Star Break. As the Celtics played with a lot more energy hustle and pride. The Celtics look to build on this win as they improve to 16-17 on the season.
Pacers:
The Pacers they were in this game fighting all night long. Although they struggled on the defensive end for most of the night their offense looked very crisp. The Pacers definitely played with energy and effort on both ends of the floor the entire game Kemba Walker and the Celtics were too much to handle at the end.
On the offensive end for the Pacers they struggled to score just shooting 39% from the field and 32% from the arch. This was not the pacers night in terms of scoring even though they got great looks and were in all the right spots. A
s far as the defensive end the Pacers struggled they allowed the Celtics to score in all bunches, The Celtics ended up scoring a clip of 118 points so clearly a some points during this game the Pacers during this game had spots were they struggled to get things going on both ends of the floor.
The Pacers had five players score in double figures. Leading the way for the Pacers was Domantas Sabonis with 24 points, 9 assist, and shot 7-12 from the field showing everyone why he is an all star. Also scoring for the Pacers Myles Turner had 17 points shot 4-13 while added 10 rebounds. Malcolm Brogdon added 12 points and 6 rebounds. Also scoring Justin Holiday had 19 points on 6-10 shooting and 5 rebounds. Lastly, Aaron Holiday had 15 points on 6-12 shooting.
Despite the loss the Pacers were in this game the entire way in all the right spots and playing with fire. The Pacers fall below .500 and fall to a disappointing 15-16 on the season.
