Celtics Edge Out Wizards 111-110

The Boston Celtics were victorious against the Washington Wizards on Sunday night but a final score of 111-110. This game was a game of runs but tightly contested for most of the duration, but the Celtics went on a 6-0 run to pull within one. Then Jayson Tatum would hit the game winning basket with four seconds left for the win.

Celtics: 

For the Celtics this win may have not been pretty but this win showed their ability to show their toughness and grit. The Celtics, despite winning this game, were very careless with the basketball. Having a total of 19 turnovers.

The Celtics, although missing Jaylen Brown due to Knee soreness they scored in all bunches. They also finally got to see the old Jayson Tatum. Tatum finished with 31 points on 12-22 shooting. The Celtics had three players score in double figures.

Leading the way for the Celtics in scoring was Jayson Tatum with 31 points on 12-22 shooting, while adding 8 rebounds, Daniel Theis stepped up in a big way tonight scoring 20 points on 8-11 shooting, with 9 rebounds. And also scoring for the Celtics was Kemba Walker with 21 points on 7-17 shooting, while adding 8 assist.

As for the shooting end for the Celtics they shot 47% from the field and 33% from beyond the arch. This was a good win for them against a Wizards team who going into this game was 9-1 in their last ten games.

Also a great sign for the Celtics for the first time this season Kemba Walker has had back to back games with 20 plus points. With this win it puts the Celtics one step closer to a strong finish to end the All Star break as they improve to 17-17 on the season.

Wizards:

For the Wizards this was a frustrating game in terms of defense despite the Celtics not having Jaylen Brown. Outside of Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook their was no scoring options for the Wizards so it was a heavy dose for Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook to handle. But they were ready for the Challenge as Russell Westbrook Finished with 24 points on 10-22 shooting, while Bradley Beal finished with a monstrous 46 points on 16-29 shooting.

The Wizards had four players score in double figures. Leading the way for the Wizards was Bradley Beal with 46 points on 16-29 shooting. Russell Westbrook added 24 points on 10-24 shooting. Also scoring for the Wizards Davis Bertans with 20 points shooting 5-9 from the field. and Robin Lopez finished with 10 points on a perfect 4-4 shooting.

This was a frustrating ending for the Wizards to say the least, the Wizards had a lead as much as 6 with 3 minutes to go. Then the Celtics went on a 6-0 run to cap off the victory. As far as shooting went for the Wizards they shot 45% from the field and 28% from beyond the arch.

For a hot Wizards team they knew the Celtics would be ready to play based on the last time these two played and as expected two very different outcomes. With this loss for Wizards fall to 13-19 on the season.

    The Celtics look to win their third straight as they will face up against the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday Night at the Garden at 7:30.
