The Celtics get back in action tomorrow night as they will take on a powerhouse of a team in the Brooklyn Nets. Going into the All-Star the Celtics were on a four-game winning streak. They are sitting right now in 4th place if they are able to add one of these 3 players, it wouldn’t be that surprising if they find themselves back in the Eastern Conference Finals.
1. Nikola Vucevic
The Orlando Magic big man Nikola Vucevic would be a guy that most likely would play center for Boston. If the Celtics were to acquire Nikola Vucevic the Trade would most likely involve one of our current centers such as Daniel Theis or Tristan Thompson. Vucevic is having a career year this season. He is averaging 24.6 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists. Overall Vucevic would be an upgrade from Theis or Thompson, and he also has a sneaky ability to shoot from beyond on the arc. (41.2% this season)
2. Harrison Barnes
A second option for the C’s could be someone like Harrison Barnes. Harrison’s playstyle is 3 and D. He can bring both defensive intensity and scoring off the bench. One of the things that can be overlooked about Barnes is his versatility. Harrison has the ability to play Small Forward, Power Forward, and maybe even a bigger Shooting Guard. Barnes is also having a great year, averaging 16.7 PPG, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.6 assists.
3. Jerami Grant
The 3rd and final option is Jerami Grant. Jerami Grant is similar to Vucevic as he would bring size to this Celtics team which is something they desperately need. Grant’s stats so far this year: 23.4 PPG, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.9 assists.
