Late Wednesday night, the Patriots were back to making moves, bringing back former Patriot Kyle Van Noy. The deal spans two years and with incentives, Van Noy can earn $13.2 million. Van Noy, who signed a 4-year deal worth $51 million with Miami last offseason, was cut by the team earlier this month.
Despite the roster cut from the Dolphins, Van Noy had a very productive year. Starting in 13 games, he had two forced fumbles, six sacks, ten tackles for loss, and 69 combined tackles.
During his stint in New England from 2016-2019, he had two interceptions, seven forced fumbles, 23.5 sacks, 34 tackles for loss, and 358 total tackles. Beyond the stat sheet, Van Noy also won two super bowls with New England in 2016 and 2018 and was a key part of New England’s dominant defense in 2019.
Kyle Van Noy joins several free agent signings on defense.
