With the first game back from COVID protocol and with fans in the stands, the Bruins fell to the Islanders 4-3 in overtime.

Early in to the game Forward Karson Kuhlman sniped a wrist shot top corner on Varlamov to make it 1-0 Bruins. Moments later Steven Kampher scored on a beauty shot to make it 2-0 Bruins mid 1st period, but Tuukka Rask went down in the first with an upper-body injury. He’s expected to miss two games.

Pageau buried one on Halak to cut the lead in half, and then to start the third period Bailey shot one past Halak to tie the game.

With 2:56 to go, the Islanders gave themselves their first lead of the game, with Oliver Wahlstrom’s backhander that went past Halak.

But with just a minute left Anders Bjork sent the game to overtime, where Antony Beauviller ended the game to give the Islanders 2 points and the 4-3 win.

The Bruins are back at it tomorrow where they will play the Sabres who have lost 16 straight. Gametime is 1:00 PM EST at the Garden.
