The Boston Celtics were victorious against the Houston Rockets on Friday night by a final of 118-102. This game was all Celtics for the entire duration, they never looked back by getting great shots and playing great defense.

The Celtics came into this game started off shooting a perfect 8-8 from the field. They were playing terrific on both ends of the floor, and set the tone early with great ball movement and getting great stops on the defensive end.

Boston got most of there points from attacking the basket and sharing he ball; they had 31 assists as a team. It was another rough outing for the Rockets as they struggled on both ends of the floor the entire game. The Rockets did keep the game within reaching distance at the half, as the Celtics were clinging a 52-44 lead heading into the locker room.

In the third quarter, The Celtics picked up the energy and started to tighten things up that would result into a 9-2 run for the Celtics extending the lead to 62-49 with 8:12 remaining in the third quarter. The Celtics would continue to take control at the end of the quarter the Celtics held a 82-70 lead.

The Celtics seemed to never cool off in this game shooting 52% from the field and 41% from behind the arch. This performance was guided by Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown and Rob Williams. that kept the momentum going for the Celtics.

In the fourth quarter, the momentum continued to go the Celtics way as the Celtics went on a 7-3 run making the score 78-92 with 9:23 remaining in the quarter. The Celtics started to get scoring from there bench as Evan Fourier stepped up and had 20 points in the fourth quarter, also knocking down six threes in the quarter.

In the final minutes, it was all Celtics. They could not miss. They were hitting shots and playing extremely tough on the defensive end. The Celtics gave there starters  rest in the final minutes and were cruising to a 114-96 lead with 2:22 to play in the fourth quarter.

The Celtics tacked on just four points in the final 2 minutes, but the Rockets scored just five points for the remainder of the game to give the Celtics the win.

Boston had four starters score double figures. Leading the way for the Celtics was Jayson Tatum with 26 points on 9-17 shooting, Kemba Walker also scored 11 points on 4-8 shooting, and Jaylen Brown scored 22 points on 9-20 shooting. Rob Williams also added 20 points on a perfect 9-9 shooting with 9 rebounds and 8 assists.

“I’m learning my spots, learning where I’m going to score,” said Williams after his impressive performance.”Obviously, I’m getting way more comfortable with the minutes I play. I feel like if it stays that way I’m just going to be better,” the big man added.

For the Celtics bench scoring, leading the way for the Celtics was Evan Fournier with 23 points on 8-13 shooting and 7-11 from behind the arch. 20 of those points came in the 4th.

For the Rockets just three players scored in double figures. Leading the way for the Rockets was Christian Wood with 19 points on 8-16 shooting, and 10 rebounds. Kevin Porter Jr also added 12 points on 4-11 shooting. and Kelly Olynyk added 10 points on 3-6 shooting.

The Celtics improve to 24-25 on the season, and will take on the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday night – 6:00 PM EST at the Garden.
