The Red Sox will take on the Rays for a three-game-split to start the new week.

The Red Sox are coming off of a series where they were swept by the Orioles, and were ‘beat in every aspect of the game,’ Alex Cora said.

The Red Sox are looking to bounce back, while the Rays are coming in strong at 2-1 on the season. That’s after they went 2-1 against the Marlins to open the new campaign.

Pitching Schedule:

4/5 MONDAY: Pivetta vs. Wacha

4/6 TUESDAY: Perez vs. Glasnow

4/7 WEDNESDAY: Eovaldi vs. Yarborough

Monday Nick Pivetta will take on Michael Wacha, at 7:10 PM EST on ESPN. Pivetta was traded near the deadline last year with Connor Seabold, as Heath Hembree and Brandon Workman were sent to the Phillies. Pivetta held a 6.89 ERA in total last year, but in two starts with the Sox he went 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA.

Tuesday Martin Perez will make his first start of the campaign, versus Tyler Glasnow. Perez posted a 4.71 ERA last year in Boston. The game will be at 7:10 PM EST on NESN.

Wednesday Nate Eovaldi will make his second start of 2021, against Ryan Yarborough. The game will be at 7:10 PM EST, free on Youtube. Eovaldi went 5.1 innings on Opening Day, allowing just a run in the Red Sox 3-0 Opening Day loss.
