The Patriots have officially terminated the contract of Julian Edelman, after a failed physical. It was first reported by Ian Rapoport.
Edelman, 34, has been dealing with knee issues for the past couple years, and only played in 6 games last season. He could potentially be retiring, as many saw that as a possible option for him.
According to the Boston Herald, he was not going to be able to play at all during the 2021 season.
