Full Details on Boston College’s 10-Year Deal With New Balance

Boston College’s agreed with New Balance the other day on a partnership that will have New Balance become the official provider of all Eagles apparel.

The agreement will be effective June 1, but the football team is undecided what they will wear. The football team is the only team that will not wear New Balance, as 28 of the 31 mens and women’s varsity teams will be equipped by New Balance.

Mens and women’s ice hockey will be equipped by Warrior, a growing brand in the hockey industry.

BC parted ways with their long time partner Under Armour, who also cut their agreement with several other big schools.

The largest financial agreement in BC history plans to also allow students to take part in the design and development in shoes, uniform, apparel and gear.

“This partnership is an absolute game changer for Boston College athletics and our student-athletes,” BC Athletic Director Patrick Kraft said. “This is a historical deal in terms of financial value and amount of apparel in our department.”
