The Patriots have drafted edge rusher Ronnie Perkins, out of Oklahoma at pick number 96.
Perkins missed the second half of the 2020 season after a failed drug test. He still managed to record 5.5 sacks in six games during the season. In his last 19 games, the 6-foot recorded 11.5 sacks. The Sooner in 33 career college games has 19.5 sacks.
The 247 pound third round pick adds to the pass rush that saw major additions to it this offseason, including Matt Judon, Kyle Van Noy. Not to mention this d-line already has the young duo of Josh Uche and Chase Winovich, and it will see the return of Dont’a Hightower.
