Bruins Split Two-Game Set With Rangers

The Boston Bruins started a two game series against the Rangers on Thursday with Jeremy Swayman in net. Boston entered the series with a record of 31-14-7.

Jeremy Swayman was the star of the first game with a shutout thanks to a really great solid defensive effort only allowing 15 shots on goal. Bruins took the win 4-0, scoring goals in every period.

New York had its day in the second game on Saturday. Bruins went with Tuuka Rask in net saving 18 out of 23.

New York won a nail biter game despite seeing goals from Marchand, Bergeron, Pastrnak, and Ritchie. New York won by a final score of 5-4.

Boston now sits at 32-15-7 with only two games left in the season and two points behind the Washington Capitals, so far it will be the Caps who will host the Bruins in the first round of the playoffs.
