According to Hoyer’s agency, the Patriots have brought back veteran QB Brian Hoyer to a one-year deal, putting the Patriots roster total at 88 out of the 90 available spots during the offseason.
Hoyer has been with the Patriots for six years, and three different tenures.
The 14-year veteran started his career with the Patriots for the first three seasons, and went back to the Patriots from 2017-2018. He went to the Colts in 2019, but returned to the Patriots yet again in 2020.
Hoyer has played with a total of seven teams throughout his career, appearing in 70 games while starting 39 of those.
