The Red Sox dropped the finale of a three-game split between Boston and Philadelphia Sunday, after coming out on top in the first two meetings the past two days prior.
- Rodriguez labors in start: Eduardo Rodriguez struggled again Sunday, going just four innings allowing four runs off five hits, walking three batters while fanning six. He was issued his third loss of the season in his outing.
- Cordero hits towering blast for his first of the year: There wasn’t much that went right for the Red Sox Sunday, but Franchy Cordero launched his first homer of the year for a solo shot in the eighth. The ball went 118 MPH, and 474 feet. But to be completely honest, the ball looked like it went further than that.
- Devers homers for his 13th of the season: Rafael Devers socked a big fly to center field in the ninth, to give him his 13th of the season, and his 39th RBI.
