During his exit presser on Friday, Tuukka Rask revealed he’s been playing with a torn hip labrum this season and will require surgery. His timetable to return will be around January or February of 2022. Rask, who now is a free agent, spoke about that as well during his time with the media.
“I’m not going to play for anyone else other than the Bruins. This is our home.”
“It doesn’t affect my game, it’s not like I go to the grocery store and people are throwing eggs at me. That would suck.” Rask remarked on the recent criticism that’s been going around about him.
“I definitely don’t think he deserves the criticism he’s getting,” teammate David Pastrnak said in defense of his teammate.
The offseason looks to be an interesting one for the B’s. Upcoming free agents include Rask, Taylor Hall, David Krejci, and more. Within the next coming weeks, we should hopefully start to see some of these names return to Boston.
