Garrett Richards won’t be taking the mound Tuesday, as less than a half hour before game time the action was called due to rain in Buffalo.
If they were playing in Toronto, they would be able to use the retractable roof. But because they’re in Buffalo, with COVID-19 being a bigger issue in Canada than it is in the United States, they don’t have a retractable roof at Sahlen Field, forcing them to cancel the affair.
The matchup will take place August 7th, and will be a doubleheader between the two members of the AL East.
The Blue Jays will look to split the series Wednesday, as the three-game series was turned into a two-game set after the postponement.
