New England Revolution Striker Gustavo Bou Fined

New England’s Argentinian striker in Gustavo Bou has been fined an undisclosed amount of money for a dive in the mag against Atlanta United.

Bou moved down the left side of the 18-yard box, where Atlanta goalkeeper Alec Kann came out to challenge him. Kann dove at his feet for the ball, and the touch got away from Gustavo. The ball rolled harmlessly out of bounds across the end line, and Kann made no contact with Bou. Bou then dove to the turf, trying to win a penalty for New England. Clearly, even he knew it was silly, as he got up quickly and ran back into position.

Bou has been on fire recently, scoring five goals in his last six games. He has been untouchable and is quickly becoming a great MLS All-Star candidate. He’s simply getting in good positions and scoring his chances. Gustavo Bou was not suspended along with the fine, so he and the Revs will face Inter Miami CF for the first time ever Wednesday night at 7:30 PM EST.
