The Red Sox are interested in Miami Marlins’ Starling Marte, according to Sean McAdam of the Boston Sports Journal.

Marte, 32, has hit .289 this season with an OPS of .833 with the Marlins, while blasting seven homers through 59 games. Marte has spent 10 seasons in the majors, including eight seasons with the Pirates.

In his career, he’s amounted to a wRC+ of 117, while hitting 121 homers through his time with the Pirates, Diamondbacks, and Marlins. He would be an interesting acquisition for the Red Sox, and most likely be an everyday centerfielder despite Jarren Duran being on the roster.
