The Bruins selected Oskar Jellvik 149th overall in the 2021 NHL Draft. Jellvik is the second consecutive player coming from a Sweden junior league to be taken by the Bruins. With their previous pick, they picked Philip Svedeback from Sweden.
Jellvik comes from Täby, Sweden and has played most of his career for Djurgårdens IF and their junior teams. Jellvik’s best season came in 2019-20 when he finished with 10 goals and 28 points in 12 games for Djurgårdens IF.
This season in 13 games, he finished with six goals and assists for 12 points. He also played in the Swedish Hockey League for the first time this season, but didn’t record any points in three games.
