Mike Reilly was acquired from the Ottawa Senators at the trade deadline and played 26 games for the Bruins, which seems like it was enough to get him a new contract in Boston. According to Pierre LeBrun, Reilly has re-signed with Boston.

The Bruins traded a 2022 third round pick in exchange for him, so the trade was definitely a good one — left-shot defensemen were a big need for the offseason.
The extension will be for three years, through 2024, and will be worth $9M. Reilly has yet to score in his NHL career, though he put up eight assists in the very limited regular season games he played in Boston. Reilly will likely team up with Brandon Carlo on the second defensive line, who also signed an extension, for six years.
Reilly has also showcased his stamina and ability to be on the ice for over twenty minutes a game. Overall, a great re-sign for the B’s at a position of need.
