The Boston Celtics made yet another move today by picking up Josh Richardson’s contract from the Dallas Mavericks. The Celtics used up the remainder of the TPE from the Hayward trade from last summer.
The Dallas Mavericks are finalizing trading G/F Josh Richardson to the Boston Celtics, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Richardson is exercising his $11.6 million player option for the 2021-22 season for the deal.

This move was a clear salary dump maneuver for Dallas but helps the Celtics tremendously. They secure a solid 3 and D player on the wing to help with their depth issues.
With this move it seems unlikely that the Celtics will re-sign Evan Fournier to a long term deal but given Brad Stevens aggressive offseason so far, anything can happen.
