The Celtics reportedly moving a big man this offseason seemed to be a foregone conclusion in order to balance the roster after the Al Horford trade. In return for sending Tristan Thompson to Atlanta, Boston receives Kris Dunn, Bruno Fernando, and a 2023 second round draft pick.

Dunn and Fernando did not play much during the 2020-21 campaign so it will be interesting to see what kind of impact they will have on the Celtics this upcoming season.
Celtics fans will remember in the 2016 NBA Draft, reports stated that Danny Ainge would pick between Jaylen Brown or Kris Dunn for the number three pick. After selecting Brown with that pick, in the end they ended up getting both guys they originally wanted.
