The Red Sox announced a series of roster moves, after adding a trio of players at the trade deadline.

Boston will be reinstating Hirokazu Sawamura from the 10-day injured list, after he went on the IL due to a tricep injury. He tossed a perfect inning days ago with Triple-A Worcester, in rehab.

Sawamura has a 2.87 ERA this season with Boston through 38 outings, as well as a 4.09 xFIP.

The Sox will be recalling Jonathan Arauz, who will serve at third base tonight with Rafael Devers’ hamstring injury. Devers remains day-to-day.

Arauz returns to the team after being with the team through the entirety of 2020, where in his rookie season he hit .250/.325/.319 while blasting one homer. He played in 25 of the 60 games last season, but missed the cut to make the major-league team this year.

The Dominican-born infielder, in several short stints, is 2-for-8 (.250) this season with the Sox, as he’s spent the majority of the season in Triple-A Worcester. The 23-year-old has hit six homers through 55 games in Worcester, but has slashed just .224/.315/.355 amounting to a wRC+ of 79.

Marcus Wilson will be getting DFA’d, as he wasn’t on the major-league roster, but there was space needed on the 40-man roster. He’s had a strong season in Worcester, hitting .242/.370/.452 through 60 games, while swatting 10 homers and notching a wRC+ of 120.

The Red Sox have seven days to either trade, release, or waive Wilson.

Here is the Red Sox’s lineup tonight, versus the Rays:

  1. 2B Kike Hernandez
  2. LF Alex Verdugo

  5. RF Hunter Renfroe
