Bruins’ Bruce Cassidy Named Assistant Coach For Team Canada

Boston Bruins Head Coach Bruce Cassidy was named as an Assistant Coach for Team Canada for the 2022 Winter Olympics.

He will be joining 2021 Stanley Cup Champion Head Coach Jon Cooper as the Head Coach. Other Assistant Coaches are Las Vegas Golden Knights Head Coach Peter Deboer, and New York Islanders Head Coach Barry Trotz.

Cassidy is entering his sixth season as a Head Coach for the black and gold. He holds a record of 194-82-41 and has led the Bruins to the playoffs in all five seasons so far.

Under Cassidy’s leadership in the 2019-2020 season the Bruins won the Presidents Trophy. The B’s posted a 44-14-12 record that season.

The 2022 Winter Games beging in February 3rd, 2022.
