The Boston Celtics announced that they will send Kevin Garnett’s jersey into the rafters on March 13, 2022 against the Magic. KG will join the C’s long list of retired jerseys as their 24th all time.

Garnett left a lasting impact in Boston in only six years with team. He was a key contributor in the Celtics 2008 title along with Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, and Rajon Rondo.

“The Big Ticket” was an all-star in five of his six seasons with Boston. He even earned himself a defensive player of the year award in 2008 to go with his championship ring. His gritty attitude and tough play made him a fan favorite in Boston and now he’ll be immortalized as a Celtics legend forever.
