The Patriots have dealt running back Sony Michel to the Rams, according to multiple reports. The Athletic’s Jeff Howe reported it seconds before Adam Schefter was on it.
Howe also said that Michel was being traded for multiple picks.
The 2018 first-round pick rushed for 79 yards in an injury plagued 2020, where he only played in nine games. He started in 28 of his 38 games with New England while rushing for 535 yards.
The Rams will use Michel, as they have a weak running back core that’s quite a noticeable hole.
UPDATED: The Patriots are receiving a 2022 sixth and a 2023 fourth for Michel.
