The Patriots have signed the following players to their practice squad after roster cuts were made:
- OLB Tashawn Bower
- DB Myles Bryant
- C James Ferentz
- K Nick Folk
- QB Brian Hoyer
- TE Matt LaCosse
- DT Bill Murray
- WR Tre Nixon
- G Alex Redmond
- CB D’Angelo Ross
- G/OT Will Sherman
- WR Kristian Wilkerson
- Jahlan Tavai
- QB Garrett Gilbert
- FB Ben Mason
- RB/WR Malcom Perry
The team also placed WR N’Keal Harry on the injured reserve, sidelining him for at least four weeks.
The Patriots have done quite the roster juggling in the past 24 hours. Bill Belichick must be relieved to welcome back players such as Brian Hoyer, Myles Bryant, Nick Folk, and Kristian Wilkerson in particular. Hoyer is a beloved veteran with strong knowledge of the Patriots offense, very important for Mac Jones and his rookie season.
Myles Bryant, the undrafted corner from Washington, has shown strong potential as a scrappy depth piece in the secondary. Nick Folk is a reliable kicker if Quinn Nordin does not work out and Kristian Wilkerson had himself an excellent preseason. Wilkerson ranked 16th among wideouts in his Pro Football Focus grade, often garnering targets from Mac Jones. Expect more roster changes in the near future.
