Taylor Motter Goes Unclaimed on Waivers, Red Sox Option Utility Man to Triple-A Worcester

The Boston Red Sox have optioned Taylor Motter to Triple-A Worcester after he went unclaimed on waivers. He was designated for assignment days ago.

Motter went 2-for-6 in three games with Boston, but had an impressive season in Triple-A with Colorado before he was picked up on waivers by the Sox. The 31-year-old slashed .332/.457/.752, swatting 24 homers to go along with 54 runs, 57 RBI, 49 walks, 16 doubles, one triple, and a whopping 184 wRC+.
