After Matt Barnes missed the cut for the Boston Red Sox‘s ALDS Roster, he’s getting a redemption as Garrett Richards was removed from the roster (left hamstring) — the MLB approved the roster change.
Major League Baseball has approved a roster substitution for the #RedSox due to an injury sustained by RHP Garrett Richards.
Richards, who has been diagnosed with a left hamstring strain, will be replaced on the Division Series roster by RHP Matt Barnes.

As noted by Masslive.com‘s Chris Cotillo, Richards could become unavailable for the ALCS, if the Red Sox make it there.
In other Sox injury news, J.D. Martinez returns to the lineup tonight in Game 2, as he bats sixth at DH against the Rays. Boston will try to avoid going down 2-0.
