The Boston Celtics announced on Tuesday that center Al Horford tested positive for COVID-19. Horford is isolating himself and will miss the remainder of the preseason.

Horford had a productive outing against the Raptors scoring 16 points on a perfect 4-for-4 from deep. The veteran center provides the C’s with versatility on both offense and defense which is crucial to the team’s success.

Horford will have to quarantine for at least 10 days. He will miss the season opener and likely miss the second game of the season as well. Celtics fans are all too familiar with COVID-19 related absences after last season, and after what some witnessed, which was the Red Sox’s COVID outbreak.
