The Boston Bruins have signed defenseman Charlie McAvoy to an eight-year contract extension worth a grand total of $76M.
McAvoy was selected with the 14th overall pick in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft by the Bruins. Since joining the team in the 2017-2018 season, McAvoy has played in 235 games for the gold and black. He’s also netted 24 goals and tallied 122 points in that time frame.
