Ime Udoka notched his first career win as Boston Celtics head coach, and the C’s grabbed their first win of the season, with a road win over the Rockets.
Celtics forward Jayson Tatum was strong for the Celtics, leading all scores by salvaging 31 points on 12-for-24 shooting while going 4-for-11 from behind the arch. Another catalyst in Boston’s victory over the Rockets was Grant Williams, as Williams finished with 18 points off the bench shooting 6-8 from the field while he went 5-7 from behind the arch.
With four minutes to play in the fourth quarter, the Rockets would go on a 12-1 run late to make it somewhat close, but the C’s had it in the bag all game long.
The Celtics look to improve to 2-2 on the season on Monday night against the Charlotte Hornets in their first back to back of the season at 7:00 P.M. EST.
