Patriots Injury Report: Damien Harris Returns to Practice, Among 14 Others Limited; Deatrich Wise Jr. Sits Tuesday

With the Patriots traveling to Atlanta to play the Falcons Thursday night after a blowout win Sunday vs. the Browns, a jam-packed schedule is what this week sees. New England had 15 players limited in practice Tuesday, along with Deatrich Wise Jr., who sat out due to an illness.

With the game on Thursday night, only one practice is feasible during the week and it gives players much less time to recover. A loaded Patriots injury report tomorrow with who’s questionable, doubtful, and out for Thursday is likely.

Because there are usually two practices a week, teams are required to send out a projected injury report on Mondays if there is a Thursday night game that week had they practiced on Monday. Josh Uche, Gunner Olszewski, and Damien Harris were projected to be out if there was a practice, but they all returned to practice Tuesday in limited form after Harris and Olszewski missed Sunday. Uche likely suffered his injury on Sunday.

Every other player listed was also projected to have limited availability Monday.

Jake Bailey, Dont’a Hightower, Kyle Van Noy, Jalen Mills, Ja’Whuan Bentley, N’Keal Harry, Shaq Mason, Jonnu Smith, Harris, and Olszweski were all questionable last week with the same injury they’re dealing with now. Everyone but Harris and Smith suited up.

Trent Brown (questionable), who was just activated last week after his calf injury in Week 1 had him out for eight weeks, seems like his calf is coming back to bite him again. Kyle Dugger’s ankle, Nick Folk’s knee, Mason’s ab, Smith’s shoulder, and Van Noy’s groin are all injuries that have put them on the injury report more than a couple of times this season.

Former Patriot and current Falcon Cordarelle Patterson was limited in practice Tuesday.
