Boston Bruins forwards Craig Smith and Brad Marchand were placed in COVID-19 protocol early Tuesday.
Smith and Marchand go into a 10-day quarantine period, as they’ll will miss six games. They won’t be eligible to return until December 27th against Pittsburgh.
Missing both Smith and Marchand for a six-game period could be costly for the Bruins. Smith was catching fire as of late — scoring three points out of the last five games while Marchand just came back from a suspension.
The Bruins look to continue their five-game point streak on Tuesday against the Las Vegas Golden Knights.
