New England Patriots running back Brandon Bolden is set to become a free agent this offseason, and his latest Instagram post could mean he’s played his last game in a Patriot uniform.

Bolden, 31, spent 2012-2017 with New England before a one-year stint with the Dolphins, returning back for the 2019 season. Bolden opted out of the 2020 season but had a strong in 2021, rushing for 226 yards on 44 carries while catching 41 passes for 405 yards on two touchdowns.

Bill Belichick and the Patriots have a history of letting go of running backs as they start to age, recently letting go of Rex Burkhead last offseason — Shane Vereen, Dion Lewis, and LeGarrette Blount headline the list of running backs simply let go.

The tailback is one of 21 Patriots becoming a free agent this offseason. An interesting offseason is ahead for New England.
