New England Revolution Matt Turner has been at the very top of MLS goalkeepers for multiple years now, which will naturally attract attention abroad. Today, Arsenal of the English Premier League sent New England an offer of around $7M guaranteed, including up to an additional $3M, according to Taylor Twellman.
Turner is content with the personal terms of a potential contract with Arsenal, putting the entire deal on the front office’s shoulders. Should the deal go through, the Revs would have over seven million dollars from two separate deals this off-season.

In addition, Adam Buksa seems closer and closer to an even more expensive deal than both Buchanan and Turner. This situation will be one to watch in the coming days, as Arsenal are not planning on quitting anytime soon.
Arsenal currently has two high-profile goalkeepers in Aaron Ramsdale and Bernd Leno, so Turner would slot in as a third-string goalkeeper for the time being if it was to go through. That being said, Leno is going to be leaving the club in short time.
Zack Steffen, the other US national team keeper competing for the top spot, is currently the backup at Manchester City. Matt Turner would likely look to play the same role under Ramsdale at Arsenal. With all that being said, there is still quite a long way to go in order to complete the transfer.
