The New England Patriots might be in the search for a new coordinator this offseason, as the Las Vegas Raiders could be hiring Josh McDaniels as their head coach “as quickly as this weekend,” according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

It was announced that McDaniels was scheduled to meet with the Raiders Friday, but it wasn’t known that dinner was going to be had Friday and that the hiring could come as soon as this weekend.

McDaniels does have some head coaching experience, leading the Broncos to an 11-17 record through the 2009 and 2010 seasons. It’s nearly been four years since McDaniels changed his mind on the vacant head coach spots with the Colts, a decision that the coordinator recently said he has “no regrets” making.
