Boston Bruins defenseman Brandon Carlo is in the lineup tonight against the Ottawa Senators after suffering a cut in the pregame skate Saturday morning. Carlo was a game-time decision prior.

“He fell on Linus (Ullmark’s) skate there during the penalty killing drill,” said Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy this morning during his meet with the media. “He’s got a cut, he’s gonna get it taken care of.”

Carlo will play on the second defense pairing with Matt Grzelcyk tonight.

Fellow Bruins defenseman Urho Vaakanainen recently just returned Thursday after missing five games due to an upper-body injury. He’ll be on the first line with Charlie McAvoy.

Derek Forbort, Brad Marchand (suspended), and Anton Blidh are the Bruins’ scratches Saturday.
