The Boston Red Sox have signed right-handed pitcher Tyler Danish to a minor league deal with an invite to big-league spring training, Tim Dierkes of MLB Trade Rumors reports.
Danish, 27, hasn’t played a major-league game since appearing in seven games (6.1 innings) for the White Sox in 2018, where he allowed five runs on eight hits (7.11 ERA). He has 11 major-league appearances — across 2016, 2017, and 2018 — in his career, making one start.
The right-hander most recently played for the Angels in 2021, hurling 32 outings (three starts) in Double-A and Triple-A. Danish posted a 3.84 ERA (0.90 ERA through three outings in AA) with a 5-3 record, to go along with a mark of 1.23 WHIP, a 1.9 BB/9, and a 10.1 K/9.
Danish joins seven others, including Zack Kelly, Rob Refsnyder, Michael Feliz, Christin Stewart, Roberto Ramos, Yolmer Sanchez, and Ronaldi Baldwin as a non-roster invite.
