The Boston Celtics showed once again why they are one of the league’s scariest teams with a comfortable 115-101 win over the Charlotte Hornets. The Celtics won the game thanks to their stellar defense, balanced scoring, and the dominance of Jayson Tatum.

Tatum followed up his phenomenal 54-point outing from last Sunday’s win over the Nets with a 44-point effort in tonight’s win, shooting an impressive 16-for-24 from the field and 6-for-9 from beyond the arch. He took over in the second half with a barrage of three-pointers and was a major catalyst in pushing the Celtics to a 20-point lead early in the fourth.

Boston as a team had six players score in double-figures. Their balance on both offense and defense has been crucial to their success and tonight it was on full display.

Both Al Horford and Robert Williams posted double-doubles while also chipping in two blocks and four steals collectively. Marcus Smart finished with a solid 12 points and nine assists and is becoming a real floor general for this Celtics team.

The Celtics will look to pick up their fifth-straight win when they take on the Detroit Pistons this Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET, as they’ll look to get Aaron Nesmith back from injury.
