Patriots Bring Back Brian Hoyer on 2-Year Deal (Reports)

Patriots

The New England Patriots are bringing back quarterback Brian Hoyer on a two-year deal, according to Jim McBride of The Boston Globe, among other reports. The team is also re-signing James Ferentz, McBride adds.

Hoyer, who turns 37 in October, is going into his eighth season with New England, going 9-for-11 through five games with the team as Mac Jones’ backup last season.

Ferentz, 32, played three games with the team last year at center and guard, starting two of them. New England ended up waiving him in November before he spent the rest of the season on the practice squad.
